When I saw this sketch by rakku_draw I instantly clicked with the badass vibe of the character. I had to bring it to life in Blender. Go check out all his sketches, they’re genius :)
The blood effects in my version actually came from a wrong color selection at the beginning haha.
I wasn’t sure if I wanted to add the blood or not since it’s not in the sketch, but I finally decided to go in this direction. Feels like it adds something cool to the character.
I also looked for camera angles that match that animated energy, playing with perspective. And I had fun in Natron, adding a Paint effect over the Grease Pencil for that deconstructed look.
I had a blast with this character! Really like the sketchy side of it, and I hope it comes through.
